Special occasion hair is different from an everyday appointment. There's no second chance at it, and the day is usually already full of things that need to go right.
What we do
- Wedding updos — for the bride, and for anyone else in the party who wants their hair done.
- Prom hairstyles — worth booking well ahead, because prom season fills fast.
- Anniversaries and events — anything you want to look properly finished for.
- Braids and half-up styles — if a full updo isn't the look you're after.
- Makeup — available alongside the hair if you'd like it done at the same time.
Book early
This is the honest advice: call sooner than you think you need to. Saturdays in spring go first, and prom and wedding season overlap. A date on the calendar costs nothing and takes one thing off your list.
For a wedding especially, coming in beforehand to try the style means no surprises on the day. It also lets you see how the hair holds and whether you want anything adjusted.
What helps
- Bring photos of what you like — and, if you have them, photos of styles you don't. Both are useful.
- Bring the veil, comb, clips or flowers if anything is going in your hair.
- Say roughly how long the day runs. A style that has to last twelve hours is built differently from one for an evening.
- Come with clean, dry hair unless told otherwise.

If there are several of you, call and talk it through. Hair Barn is a one-chair salon, so timing matters — but it can usually be worked out with enough notice.
