Gina Hackett

Gina has been in the hair business for 40 years and is a color specialist working in Redken, Matrix, Joico and Olaplex. She's the former owner of Hackett Hair Designs.

“My goal is to take the time with every client to make them look their best — professional results at a reasonable price.”

Whether it's an everyday cut you don't have to think about or something more dramatic, the job is finding what actually suits you, your hair and how much time you want to spend on it in the morning.

Do you take walk-ins?

Yes — appointments and walk-ins both. Calling ahead at (903) 944-0863 is the surest way to get the time you want, especially on Saturdays.

What are your hours?

Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Saturday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Closed Sunday and Monday.

Do you do perms for boys and kids?

Yes — it's one of the most requested services at the salon. The look most boys want is a loose wave rather than tight curl, and the cut is done in the same appointment. More about kids' and boys' perms.

Do you cut children's hair?

Yes. Hair Barn cuts for men, women and children, and works with all hair types.

What color lines do you use?

Gina is a color specialist working in Redken, Matrix, Joico and Olaplex — including grey coverage, highlights and color correction.

Can you do a wedding or prom updo?

Yes, and it's worth booking these well ahead. Call to talk through what you have in mind and set a time for the day of the event.
