Hair Barn is a small salon in Tyler, Texas. We collect very little information, we don't track you, and we don't sell anything about you to anyone.
What we collect
When you use the contact form
The form asks for your name, email address, phone number (optional) and a message. That information is sent to the salon so Gina can reply to you. Nothing else is attached to it.
When you call or visit
If you book an appointment we may write down your name, phone number and what you'd like done, along with notes about your hair — colour formulas, for example — so we can repeat or adjust the service next time. These notes are kept at the salon for your benefit.
What this website does automatically
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Like nearly all websites, the server that hosts it keeps standard access logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. Those logs are not used to build a profile of you.
The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google to fetch them. Google may log that request. If you'd prefer to avoid that entirely, the fonts can be hosted locally instead — just ask.
How we use it
- To answer your question or book your appointment.
- To contact you about an appointment you've made — for example, if we need to reschedule.
- To keep service notes so your next visit goes smoothly.
We do not send marketing emails, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Who we share it with
Nobody. We don't sell, rent or trade your information. The only exceptions are the ordinary ones: a service provider that helps us operate (such as our email or website host), or a disclosure required by law.
How long we keep it
Messages sent through the form are kept as long as they're useful for answering you and for our own records. Client service notes are kept while you're a client. You can ask us to delete either at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call the salon at (903) 944-0863 or email hacketthairdesigns@gmail.com and we'll take care of it.
Children
We cut children's hair, and we'll happily talk to a parent or guardian about it. This website isn't aimed at children and we don't knowingly collect information from them online.
Security
We take reasonable care with the information we hold, but no website or filing cabinet is perfectly secure. Please don't send sensitive information — payment card numbers, for instance — through the contact form.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date at the top.
